Natalie Herring is the Associate Dean of Opportunity & Access at the University of Pennsylvania. She has been the Enrollment Manager and Certification Officer at the University of Chicago Urban Teacher Education Program, as well as Adjunct Faculty at DeVry University and Norwalk Community College.

A graduate of Northwestern University and Dartmouth College, Natalie Herring has experience as an executive in academic, artistic, corporate and nonprofit settings. These experiences include management in K-12 independent schools, religiously affiliated institutions, Ivy League Universities, public and private schools, colleges and universities, as well as professional associations and civic organizations. She has made media appearances on WGCH, CT News Channel 12 Our Lives, and New Haven News Channel 8. She was previously featured in the New York and Greenwich Time.

Despite her prestige, the Chicago native is very down to earth and is readily available to all students. She is currently redefining the Opportunity and Access program into the Opportunity and Excellence program.  The program aims to help students reclaim their merit and talents. Whether she is attending the Posse Plus Retreat or speaking on affirmative action, Herring strives to ensure that all students know their acceptance to Penn is valued and praised to the highest degree.
